I am mesmerized
By this picture.
I won't post it directly because that would mean that Robin might see it, and that would mean the end of the world as we know it.
Don't click through if you're squicked out by creepy crawlies, but I just can't stop looking at it. I am enthralled.

Oh, and no, that's not Costa Rica. It's just a picture I saw on someone else's blog today.
It's one of these.
That is so freaking cool.
...and here I was, wondering if it were stuffed (as in teddy bear) and "posed" on the trash can as a gag photo!
GAH!! *shudder* that thing is ... WOW!
ACK! What IS that thing? At first glance I thought it was a hermit crab. Then I had to close my eyes and look away because it turns out I am a bit more sicked out by creepy crawlies than I thought I was.
I may never be the same again.
It IS a hermit crab! How does it find shells big enough to fit in? Or does it use the coconut shells? Maybe I better read the Wikipedia entry...
Promise I won't show this to your Robin...
looks like it could be good eating to me!
A normal sized crab that has been Photoshopped? At least that's what it looked like to me before I was forced to look away.
Poor Laylabean.
Don't beat yourself up over it. It's a real crab, and they do get that big (but not really any bigger), but they live in South East Asia, so you're not likely to run into one anytime soon!
And yes, they are edible.
