Because it wouldn't be Christmas without a few "Pet Dismantles Holiday Decor" pictures on the Internet.
For those of you who haven't yet had the pleasure, please meet Loren, the Red-Lored Amazon parrot. Grab a peanut and come on over to say hi. Seriously, don't even think about approaching this bird unless you have a peanut.

My parents also have a red-lored parrot. His name is Bogart and he's a total peanut fiend, too. On the infrequent occasions when I feed him, if I forget the peanuts, he seriously makes a crabby noise that sounds a lot like "ITCH". Maybe with a "B" sound in front of it.

Once Loren decides she likes you, she'll let you do just about anything, but it's not a decision she makes lightly. She actually only likes two people in the whole world - me and my daughter Robin. And Robin only if she (the bird) feels like being scratched on the head.
She used to like my mother in law, but now that she doesn't live with her anymore, she's fallen from grace.
