The Stupid, Stupid Christmas Quilt of Hate
Is done. Ish.
Is the title clear enough? Allow me to elucidate. Quite aside from the fact that it has kept me up until 2:00 a.m. the night before a very long day, this quilt is not to my taste. Starting tomorrow, nothing that comes into my field of vision should ever resemble this quilt. Thank you.

I must have missed something. What's the deal with this er, kind of not your style of quilt? Aside from being a masochistic exercise, why did you make it?

No, you didn't miss anything. I just haven't explained yet.
It's an exchange thing. I'll tell the whole story later.
Without enlightenment (which I'm looking forward to hearing, BTW) I would say that you ran into "technical difficulties"? That's what my mom, Fiber Artist Extraordinaire, used to call it when she hit something that just didn't "work".
The quilt is darling, and I'm sure the person receiving it will be tickled. (It's not really my style, either, but I could see my sister really liking it.)
Personally, I'm impressed with how square it is. I'm extremely "angle challenged" and gave up trying to quilt after my third parallelogram quilt. I'll leave it to those less skewed than myself! :)
