Okay, I was about to give up. But I have found the Additional Detail. The tree now looks like it's standing in, maybe, snow, rather than free-floating. I think it's a good addition. (To me, the colors looked richer at 1:36 a.m. than at 7:19.)
Sorry, Brave Sir Robin, but I'm with Jenn -- that quilt is totally not "beautiful"! I would pass it by (with a shudder) on a "free" table, in fact. I'm with you though on the "beautiful job" creation part. And man, it's hard to stick with a project you are so not into. I admire that. The good news is, it's over! Now you can move on to happier holiday projects :-)
Thank you, thank you, one and all for being so brave and honest on the telepho...er...Internet.
Yes, I'm quite certain that the technology and language barriers are sufficient that the (happy) recipient is in no danger of ever discovering my not-so-secret assessment of her brand new quilt :)
Carroll "pass it by (with a shudder)" - totally, lol!
Raising our future Costa Rican Overlrods, here in Costa Rica. There's a turtle and a parrot (both Costa Rican) and a lot of purple things. It's all good.

You may hate it, but you still did a wonderful job in the creating thereof.

Wow Jenn, that is truly beautiful.
Now if only an evil Christmas Elf was peering in the window........
Beautiful Job!!

Put a monkey in it and I'd buy ot LOL
Geez, I kinda like it. Is that wrong?
Hey. What you do on your own time....
Ah, it's 3-d. The curtains can blow in the breeze...
Hm. I hate seasonal stuff because these things have limited utilizational potential and huge storage space requirements.
Sorry you spent hours working on something moderately soul puckerizing.
g.
g wins.
"Soul puckerizing" is my new favorite phrase!
See- I think "The Stupid, Stupid Christmas Quilt of Hate" was a win as far as phrases go. It should be a band name.
But you're done with it now, right? Hopefully you won't have to do one like it again.
I like the detailing of it but I'd never be tempted to buy it. (How's that for sitting on the fence?)
I didn't say I actually would put it on my bed ....., but the craftmanship is awesome.
