Underneath it all

You know that ad on TV? For the "recently discovered" new supply of silver coins? Morgan silver dollars or some such?

It led to a casual conversation about the price of gold which, I gather has risen rather sharply in recent years, with the decline of economies or currencies...but that's not really the point of the story.

The point is Lisa's observation that, in the end, it all just comes down to rocks.

And my counter observation that, really, what else have we got?

Used to be all High School Seniors rings were gold.

Well when my turn came (last year really) gold shot up tp to 300 bucks and ounce. But we all bough them anyway.

Just wished I still had it it would be worth a lot more lol
