I will say this though: if I could spend another 28 bucks and make that go away, I'd totally do it.

I remember we talked about putting shelves at the left of the desk under the sloping ceiling, but I was picturing them against the wall. This is even better.
Mom has hung a curtain over her fabric shelves to avoid light stains on the folds. But if you did that, of course, you wouldn't be able to enjoy the pretty display, and it IS pretty!
Did you move the stereo to the hallway outside your bedroom so sound can still fill the house?

I was picturing it against the wall too, but the ceiling is too low. It might fit in a 2x4 configuration, next to the desk, but I think I like this better anyway.
That spot is actually pretty much out of direct sunlight. It may get a few minutes in the late afternoon, but with the house they just built outside my window, it may not even get that. Of course there's ambient light, but I think I'm willing to deal with that.
Yep, put the stereo where you suggested when you were here. Good idea.
