Pushing 40
I've been waiting for like two years to say that. Now, at 39, I think we can all agree that I am, in fact, pushing 40.
So it's sundaes for dinner and if I get back from work early enough, I'm getting myself something I've missed Every. Single. Day. since I stopped hanging out at Internet cafes: a mouse with a scroll wheel.

Hello I hope you dont mind me leaving a comment. I am new to quilting and was having a look around on your flickr site. You are very talented, thanks for sharing inspiration.
Happy Birthday, Jen!!!
Happy Birthday, you beautiful woman!
I remember 39......
Happy Birthday from another pushing 40 person! Enjoy the sundaes! Hm...a banana split does sound good right now...
Pushing 40.
Hmmmm.
For at least a couple of years I've had the distinct feeling that I was NOT READY to have a daughter who is 40. Or, for that matter, pushing it.
This has absolutely nothing at all to do with the fact that I'm pushing 70. (Or, by your formula, will be doing so in six months.)
But, I mean, uh, ??
But as long as you (and your sister) are the ones who are (or in her case, will be) pushing 40, I'm cool with it!
Love,
Dad
Happy Birthday! Since it's on a thurdsay and that being the actual day you were born, do you get something extra special? Enjoy your IC. No need to decide between two or three different kinds, have them all.
I'm happy just to push it your way for a couple more years.
Happy Birthday my phreind
Odd as it may sound you have made me a better person from all the way down there on the island.
As always my best to you Alex and your two children A.K.A our future overlords (please put in a good word for me. please?)
Hey Jen; Pushing 40 isn't so bad. Enjoying your beautiful children is the most precious thing now, and also all that you have before you. I lookat you and see a wonderful and competant and confident woman. Your kids have a GREAT role model. Embrace it! Love, Vikki
Happy 'nother trip 'round the sun day!
Happy Birthday, Jen!!
Well, I have fake teeth, can't see worth a hoot. Takes forever to stand up sometimes and parts of me hurt that I never knew that I had. I still Push a lawn mower 40-60 hours a week. I can still work some young kids into the ground but I have to put a heating pad on my legs and ice on my hands at night. I sleep better than I use to. I don't have to get up at night to pee, yet. Pushing 40 wait till your my age. 9-10 years is not that far away. Take care of your body or you will end up like me.
Well, Birthday Gurrrl, have a happy one.
I thought I posted this last night, but I guess at my age, things can get a bit deceiving.
And Vikki's right, your two girls have a stellar, if imperfect, role model in you. They're very lucky, as are you.
And as am I to know you.
Namaste, my phriend.
Ralph
PS, those flowers are lovely!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
(Sorry I'm late: been away, just catching up.)
The best thing about being 40 is you are now officially at the age where you've been around long enough not to have to take any s#@$ off of anybody.
Hope it was indeed a grand day.
I'm "pushing 50" next week...
