PURPLE HORSESHOES!
I never could remember all of them...I know there are red balloons now.
Great video.
PURPLE HORSESHOES!
Oh my, no. Not at all.
Not in my childhood anyway. I think your generation has its own version! Or maybe there's a Canadian edition??
Green clovers and blue diamonds!?!
Right? Or something pretty close to that. Tell me about the video.
Totally green clovers and blue diamonds.
The video is a large group of older men and women singing "My Generation" by The Who.
I'm one of the green clovers and blue diamonds Lucky Charms generation too!
I saw this video a few weeks ago--the lead singer is 90 and the oldest person in the chorus is 100. How cool is it that they are older than the folks who sang this song originally?
I know that song. But I have no idea what the other bit of your post was on about...
I'm only a little bit younger than you are, so I don't think it's a generational thing...could be a Canadian thing? I do remember the blue diamonds and green clovers though. I was AWFUL at remembering the whole lot of them. I looked up the Wikipedia article on Lucky Charms though. It's pretty interesting! According to that, the purple horseshoes were introduced in 1984, which is about right for when I was eating them.
I remember the excitement when the blue diamonds were introduced. Wait--that was 1975? I would have only been 6. Maybe it took a few years longer for the blue diamonds to reach North Dakota.
And adding: they now have Chocolate Lucky Charms? My fetus must have some, stat!
