More fun with broadband

Feel like sitting there with a silly grin on your face for 4 minutes and 27 seconds? Turn on your speakers and click below. (Knowing that it's Beatles music makes it even better, IMHO)

Okay, I sat here with a silly grin on my face for 4 minutes and 27 seconds. (He IS good. Thanks, Jill!)

But the video was jerky much of the time. The clock-counter ran smoothly ticking off the seconds, but the motion would stop, then go, over and over. I didn't expect this with a fast new computer and cable broadband. Did it do that with yours?

That happened to me once with the treadmill video (which, as you can imagine, has been requested more than once around these parts.)

I think the YouTube system can deliver uneven results depending on the demand it's serving at any given time.

Guess I'd better set the alarm and get up at 4 a.m. to watch it, and hope that the good folks in India and environs aren't looking at it at the same time!

Okay, Dial-Up here. Dad, I think if you watch it through, then click on "watch again", it will be smooth the 2nd time. If it makes you feel better, I read a book while it took me 30 minutes to load, but then I watched it through smoothly. So don't be thinking you're not getting the bang for your buck. But anyway, it plays while it's loading the first time, so a little jerky is probably because it's loading just slightly slower than it's playing. But once it's loaded you can play it through. Anyway, give it a try! Actually, after I loaded the treadmill video, I was able to play it for Scott the next day without re-loading. So maybe if you just watch it again it'll be fine.

How did you get to be so smart? (On dial-up yet!)It works!

Actually I had thought of what you said, but I think I DID try to replay a bit of it but it was still jerky. (As I recall, I slid the little sliding bar at the bottom back to the left an inch or so after it was over, but had the same problem.)

Now, for extra credit, how can I improve the fuzzy focus?

Thanks!

I am NOT anonymous! I seem to have hit the "enter" key while trying to hit the shift key. (It's not the first time.)
