Leaving for the airport in 15 hours

The To Do list is getting pretty short!

We never did get an adapter, but the only thing any of us will be plugging in are our camera battery chargers, and they can both take 220, so all we need is a simple plug adapter (not a converter). Finding one in Frankfurt will give us a mission to pursue in the airport, maybe keep us awake for (part of) our 6-hour layover, which begins at 7:00 a.m. Frankfurt time, a little after midnight our time.

[Aside: My brother in law just walked into the room and made a request. It was a reasonable one, so here goes: Internets, Scott says Hi.]

We all had great success at the thrift store this afternoon. Lisa and I actually bought bikinis! We are NOT bikini people, but there's this Turkish bath, see, and given the alternative, well, we decided that bikinis were a reasonable option. We also both discovered the whole tankini concept, and got some of those too. I got some cargo pants for the trip - lighter & easier to pack than jeans - and some 3/4-length sleeved t-shirts for Turkey, where many people feel it is appropriate for women to show less skin. (This may not be necessary in the places we will be visiting, but it's certainly simple enough to show some sensitivity...)

We also all got Crocs - well, Mom got the real ones and Lisa & I got the PayLess version, but we all decided they would be the best choice for the beaches & hot springs.

So that's it for now. We're out of here.

But! Don't go away! I've made it so you won't have to twiddle your thumbs the entire time I'm gone. How? Well, you'll just have to check back and find out.

Have a good June everybody!
