I hadn't done the subtraction to realize Julia was born shortly before Sept. 11. I remember hearing a man speak about how his wife had a baby around then, and that the fuzzy/good feeling hormones surging through her body acted as a sort of filter against the grief other Americans were experiencing. Would love to hear about that particular experience from you, too. That would be a rough time to be apart from Alex and Robin. But look at me, being the request lady! All in your own time, of course!
Just wanted to say hello (delurking and all). I enjoy your blog. I started reading when my sister-in-law (juliloquy) linked to you from her blog. Being a (beginner) quilter, I've stayed. Your retreat is now one of my fantasy vacations! Thanks for blogging
Hello! I'm Jen Tucker from Oklahoma! Just thought I'd say hi since you said you liked hellos. You can come check out my Blog if you'd like. artloveactionfigures.blogspot.com
Visiting from Anita's place, and am so glad I did ! What an extraordinarily interesting life path you've had (so far). I'm exhausted just reading about all the moves, but deeply wish I'd known about that school when my own two boys were college hunting. Our world is much the better for the shrinking of boundaries, and the more we can do to create a global culture, the better. You're on the cutting edge of that, and your kids will be well poised to take the next steps forward when their turn comes along. I've bookmarked your page, and look forward to catching up as time permits. Yay for de-lurking day!!! :)
Raising our future Costa Rican Overlrods, here in Costa Rica. There's a turtle and a parrot (both Costa Rican) and a lot of purple things. It's all good.

Hi. :) Thank you for the backstory. I enjoyed reading it.
I hope Julia feels better. I am looking forward to Emily being able to tell me what parts don't feel good. This guessing thing stinks.
Hi!
Hi and thanks for the story below.
