Here's what can be had at the farmers' market for about $6.50 on a Sunday morning. Without the strawberries it would have been closer to $4.
Okay, I give. I will get a litterbox.

Impressive haul! Wanna take over our grocery shopping? (Of course, maybe you can only get those kinds of prices when you're paying in colones...)
And how do you propose to train Fifi from the wastebasket to a new, foreign-to-her, litter box?
For a cat that doesn't have a litter box, you really can't complain about her choice. Recall, I KNOW what rests in the bottom of a Costa Rican trashcan.
Well, since Lisa brings it up I may as well admit it. She's right. Costa Rican septic systems are not designed to handle TP, so bathroom trashcans are in fact, filled with used toilet paper.
Surprisingly (but fortunately), that fact is actually entirely, um, unnoticeable, if you know what I mean. Until a cat pees in it. There ain't nothing unnoticeable about cat pee.
