Pre-caffeinated thought for the day
"Jack and Jill went..."
Wait.
Who the hell drills a well at the top of a hill?

Artesians, that's who. ;)
You know, I almost gave you the benefit of the doubt 'cause you know stuff. But I'ma stand by my ramblings for a few more minutes at least.
@#$%^&* Bob, you stole my bright idea. I was all set to type in, "It was an artesian well." (Actually I was going to do a Wiki check on "artesian" before submitting it just to be sure my childhood memories of the meaning were correct!!!)
Furthermore, I'ma stand by MY comments. There was a bigger hill just beyond Jack and Jill's hill, and the (artesian) well from which they either did nor did not successfully fetch a pail of water was, indeed, at the top of THEIR hill.
I think the "pail of water" is a euphemism for, um, something else...
;)
I don't think *any* of y'all are correct. It was a cistern.
So there.
Who the hell builds a cistern at the top of a hill?
Cistercians, that's who. :)
Brilliat, Bob. Absolutely brilliant.
(Make that "brilliaNt".)
I'm Anonymous (above) Fingers slipping on the keyboard late at night.
