If I were a stripper...
...my name would be Tippy Bayside. What would yours be?
Hint: Take the name of your first pet and the first street you lived on.
At least, that's the formula according to Will & Grace and, interestingly, the novel I just started. (And, for that matter, an archived post on one of the blogs I've got linked in the sidebar. You really must click over there and read the comments.)
Actually, I'm well aware that mine does not strictly follow the formula, but I don't know the right street name because my family moved before I was old enough to bother with such things. Corrections are welcome (Mom? Dad?) as long as I get to keep Tippy.

Wrong body of water. You would be Tippy Riverside.
We lived on Riverside Drive in Factoryville until you were eight months old, which is when we move to Bayside Avenue in Rhode Island.
You get to keep Tippy.
And just be glad you weren't born when we had Smutley.
I hope you can appreciate that it wasn't the next street - Grassy Hill. I suppose Tippy Grassy Hill is better than Tippy Grassy Mound, but not so much . . .
I would claim Frisky (Something). Possibly Frisky Broad. Now that works. These pet names and street names seemed designed for this exercise.
I moved from my birthplace of Buffalo at the age of nine months; like you I was not old enough to bother with street names. Perhaps Mom can help when she gets up.
Hello, I'm Missy Mimosa.
AWESOME. :)
Hi Tippy, Frisky & Missy, I'm Pepper LaForge. And this is my daughter, Domino New Michigan. (Wow! and I thought mine was bad! Poor Emily! She's never going to be able to play this game).
While I can't be certain they're the first in each category, I'm thinking Dad's comes out to Chester Strong; a fine match for Frisky Broad, wouldn't you say?
Uh oh. I just had a Bad Thought.
Costa Rica doesn't have street names, particularly (although, interestingly, the postal service does offer home delivery), so I guess Alex gets to be a single-name sensation. You know, like Cher.
Only that his first dog? Was named Dookie.
Well, uh, I wasn't going to bring it up, but when my parents deemed that it was Time To Get A Cat, we came by a stray white Angora, whom I dubbed Genevieve. (I have no idea...)
Sadly for me - if not for Genevieve - her original owner materialized about three weeks later, and I (at age 10, I think) had to tearfully hand her back to her rightful owner.
So I think I'll claim that Chester (Genevieve's replacement) was, indeed, my first pet.
Whew! (I can just see the advertizing poster: "Genevieve Strong, 66-year-old male stripper.")
Speaking of which, a 32-year-old social worker at hospice - a terrific co-worker whom we all liked a lot - left recently to work at the hospital. As her last day approached, several of us were talking with her about how we'd give her a proper send-off. I said I'd bring a male stripper on her last day at the office. At which, without missing a beat, Catherine retorted, "As long as it's not you!" (We all just about fell on the floor!)
Fluffy Bayside checking in...
I like Scott as Spanky VanStory, although I'm pretty sure that wasn't his first pet. But it's the dog he grew up with, and the only one he really mentions.
So? Robin and Julia get to choose from Tina, Perla and Fifi. I guess Julia would be Suffolk, and Robin would be a one-namer?
I grew up in a small town so my name would be Bozo Rt 1A. Yikes. Or, jumping forward about 10 years, Brittney Hillview - still very uninspiring.
Although, if I ever give up honest work and decide to become a writer of trashy romances, I've already decided my pen name will be Vivian McGary. So if you're browsing the romance section at the library someday and the name sounds familiar, you'll know I've gone over to the dark side.
Bounce Vanstory
Conor would be: Simba Chatham or Patches Chatham
LOL!!!!!!
Correction! Scott is not Spanky, but Bullet Vanstory. Still good. And I see you've already met his sister, Bounce.
Oh come on, Anita. Conor could also be Scarlett Chatham. Let's not limit his options here....
Mmm ... Tanner Foremarke, or Cinders Perrott...don't quite get the perky rating do they!
Oh no.
I'd be Minx Millwood.
(well, Millwood's the first street I lived on w/ a name. I think the other one was a #, like 26th street...)
