That I'd give them, if they could do it on-site. They want me to go down to Immigration and have my passport validated because my gov't-issued ID is expired.
It's expired because the gov't-issued appointment to renew is for June 2010.
Shockingly enough, the gov't-issued letter saying I can't renew till 2010 isn't flying with the bank. The (need I say it?) gov't-run bank.
I'll be glad to come and vouch for your identity. Just tell me when...

In the government one hand washes the other, with a reciprocating fist. It's unbecoming, but it's how government works.
