It would seem that some combination of the advice I took, well...took because I am, happily, not sick.

And, on the spectrum of states of being, "happily not sick" is, if not my actual favorite, certainly more than acceptable under the circumstances.

PS - Cleaning the dust out of the computer suddenly made the DVD audio work right - for the first time ever. Who'd have thought?
