Well, glad to give my faithful public a little excuse to bond at my expense ;)
I'm sure that Lisa told me the correct pronunciation when I asked her, but that, being a thoroughly unfamiliar collection of syllables, it got a little convoluted in my own mind before being irrevocably committed to...well, ether.

We've all made egregious pronunciation mistakes at some time or other.
I missed the original post's bandwagon, but I didn't learn the correct pronounciation until the first movie. I thought the way you did. Ah well, it's just not a common name on this side of the pond, I guess.
